Cristallino cane sugar HAND IN HAND

This crystalline cane sugar is particularly fine and mild in taste. This makes it a true all-rounder in the kitchen and it is ideal to sweeten all kinds of food, drinks, pastries, desserts and much more. The Cristallino cane sugar is made from pure sugar cane juice. It gets its typical, slightly golden colour from the low molasses content it still contains. Cristallino cane sugar comes from our HAND IN HAND programme which combines organic agriculture with fair trade.

Preparation
Mature sugar canes are harvested, cleaned and cut to uniform sizes. The sugar juice is extracted in the sugar mill. In the next steps, the sugar juice is filtered and condensed. For the crystallization, the sugar juice is inoculated with sugar crystals. The newly developed crystals are separated from the molasses through centrifugation and packed as Cristallino cane sugar.
