Tigernut flour is characterised by its mild, natural sweetness and high fibre content. The gentle roasting gives the flour a fine roasted flavour. The tiger nut owes its name to its fine, nutty flavour, which is reminiscent of almonds or hazelnuts. However, it is not a nut, as tigernuts are the acorn-sized and tasty root tubers of a cyper grass. This makes it an ideal alternative for anyone who cannot tolerate nuts. This delicious flour is a quick and easy way to increase your fibre intake and add variety to your cooking. Just give it a try!

Usage
Enjoy in muesli, porridge, desserts, bars, shakes, smoothies and for baking - tiger nut flour can be used in many ways. It is also ideal as part of an alkaline diet. When baking, 100% of the regular nuts and up to 25% of the cereal flours can be replaced by tigernut flour. Due to their sweet taste, the sugar part of the recipe can be reduced or even left out. Also ideal for preparing delicious horchata (a tiger nut milk, a popular Spanish drink). If the flour is used raw, e.g. in shakes, milk etc., please store the drink in the refrigerator for soaking and storage.
