Method
The fir tips can be found during April, May and sometimes the beginning of June. Find a pine tree with your favorite aroma and pick a few fir tips for the cough syrup.
Alternate with filling fir tips and the sugar layers in a large glass. The fir tip layers should be twice as high as the sugar layers. The last layer should be a thick sugar layer. Close the jar and leave it at the window in a sunny spot for about two weeks.
When the syrup has settled and the fir tips have turned in color brown the syrup should be done. Sieve the syrup through a strainer and fill it into small jars or bottles. Store the syrup in a cool and dark place so that it lasts until winter.
