Himalaya Basmati rice white

Aromatic, fluffy scented rice from the Indian states Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh at the foothills of the Himalaya mountains. The traditional Basmati variety 'Dehradun Type 3' is manually harvested and threshed by Indian peasant families according to the 'Code of Practice on Basmati Rice'. This open pollinated variety makes it possible for the farmers to be independent from patented and hybrid seeds as it enable them to grow new rice plants from the seeds of their previous own harvest. Enjoy this Basmati rice which will release its unmistakable scent while being cooked.

Usage
Very well suited for both the Oriental and the Asian cuisine, ideal as scented side dish.

Preparation Instructions
Add 250g rice into 500 ml boiling water. Let simmer at low heat with closed lid for about 10 to 15 minutes. Remove from stove and let rest for another 5 minutes. Salt rice after cooking
