The demeter sesame is produced by the Rapunzel HAND IN HAND partner Sekem in Egypt where it's grown in a traditional way. The HAND IN HAND program combines fair trade with organic farming and supports ecological and social projects on site. Sesame has an aromatic nutty taste. Tip: Roast it lightly in a fat-free pan to enhance its flavor!

Preparation
Shortly before maturity, the sesame stalks are harvested, cut and dried until the capsules burst open. Subsequently, the stalks are threshed, the seeds are cleaned, sorted, heated and packed.
