Chana Dal, chickpeas halves, peeled



Chana Dal are peeled split chickpeas and are indispensible for the Indian & Ayurvedic kitchen! Classic preparation with ghee, various spices and seasonal vegetables - served pure by itself or with rice. Chana dal is mild and has a gentle nutty flavor like chickpeas have.

Usage
For dal, currys, hummus, falafel, dips and sweet dishes.

Preparation Instructions
Rinse Chana Dal and soak during 8 to 12 hours. Rinse under running water. Bring 1 cup of Chana Dal with 3 cups of water to a boil. Cover and let simmer at low heat - firm to bite in only 15 minutes, in 45 minutes made into dal. Salt and season after cooking.
